The Rewards
The Hack The Box Academy referral program offers multiple rewards. You may be awarded cubes when the following conditions are met:
After Registration 👨💻
Refer 2 Friends → 5 Cubes
Refer 5 Friends → 10 Cubes
Refer 15 Friends → 20 Cubes
Note: in order to count as a successful registration, the referee must complete the HTB Academy onboarding questionnaire and any HTB Academy module (including free Tier 0 modules).
After Module Completion ✅
Every time a user you invite completes HTB Academy modules, you will be able to unlock rewards. The amount of cubes is based on the modules’ Tiers, as follows:
Tier II module completed* → 5 Cubes
Tier III module completed → 10 Cubes
Tier IV module completed → 20 Cubes
*This reward won't apply if the referred user has an active HTB Academy Student subscription.
After Subscription Purchase 💰
Every time a user you invite purchases an HTB Academy subscription, you will be able to unlock rewards. The amount of cubes is based on the subscription plan, as follows:
Silver Monthly → 35 Cubes
Gold Monthly → 65 Cubes
Platinum Monthly → 120 Cubes
Silver Annual → 300 Cubes
The HTB Academy team retains the right to alter the rewards in case of fraudulent activities or cases that enable abuse.
When to Expect The Rewards
You'll be delighted to know that rewards earned through Registrations and Module Completion will be promptly credited to your profile. As soon as your friends join and successfully complete modules, you'll see the fruits of your referral efforts right away!
Regarding rewards earned from Monthly Subscriptions, we have a timeline in place to ensure transparency and prevent any misuse of our system. You can expect these rewards to be added to your profile precisely one (1) month and two (2) days after the subscription's start date.
We've designed a strategic approach for the Annual subscriptions to distribute the rewards in batches. Over four (4) months and two (2) days from the subscription's start date, you will receive incremental batches of rewards. These batches will be distributed as follows: 20, 50, 90, and finally, 140 cubes.
This approach is implemented to maintain the integrity of our program and safeguard against any fraudulent or abusive cases related to payments and refunds.
Referral Link Usage:
You can find your referral link through your Hack The Box Academy user dashboard. It will provide information on the number of referrals you've made, how many have converted, and the rewards you've earned.
Prohibited Actions for Referrals:
No duplicate account invites
No self-referrals or use of alternative contact information
No creating multiple accounts for self-invitations
No inviting existing HTB Academy users
No inviting fictitious individuals
No actions that damage Hack The Box's brand, goodwill, or reputation
No misleading referrals or promotions unrelated to Hack The Box's main purpose
No violation of applicable laws or regulations or breach of our Terms of Service, Privacy Policy, and Acceptable Use Policy
No transmission of unsolicited advertising or spam
No unauthorized advertising via paid search or activities harmful to Hack The Box's brand, goodwill, or reputation.
What other legal information should I know?
Hack The Box retains the right to alter or revoke the rewards upon suspicious activity, not using the program in goodwill, or having breached any of the above terms.
In cases of suspected fraud, further action may result in the suspension of your Hack The Box account and your referral reward being withheld from you.
If you believe you’re owed a referral bonus (cubes) that hasn’t been paid, please contact our customer support team via our live chat in the app or by emailing customerops@hackthebox,com. In most cases, these issues can be quickly investigated and resolved.
We may, at our sole discretion, suspend, terminate or change the terms and requirements of the referral program at any time. These terms are published in English, and any translation is provided as a courtesy only. Participants in the referral program cannot derive any rights from the translated version.
The English language version of these terms shall apply and prevail and be conclusive and binding. The English version shall be used in all legal proceedings to the extent permitted by law.
These Referral Program Terms shall be exclusively governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes arising out of or in connection with these terms shall exclusively be submitted to and dealt with by the competent court in England.
In order to benefit from this referral program, you must be an existing customer of Hack The Box Academy and have agreed to our Terms of Service, Privacy Policy, and Acceptable Use Policy. Any additional information provided by you in the course of a referral will be treated in line with the above terms.
