Why is my account blocked for a compliance issue?
If you encounter a sanctions compliance block, it means that the personal information you provided during registration appears to match an entry on the OFAC Sanctions List.
This is often a simple misunderstanding or a name mismatch, but we are legally required to verify that you are not the individual appearing on that list.
How do I verify my identity and remove the block?
To resolve this issue and proceed with using the Hack The Box platform, you must provide further personal information to verify your identity.
You are required to provide the following personal information via an official document:
Complete name (including your first name, any middle names, and your last name)
Date of birth
Location of birth
Current location
Which official documents are accepted for verification?
We accept a variety of government-issued documents to verify your identity. You can submit any of the following:
National ID card
Birth certificate
Passport
Driver's license
Work or residential Visa stamp
Any other official government document that clearly confirms your identity as an individual
How do I submit my documents for review?
To submit your documents, please click the "Contact Support via Email" button on the block page or below to reach out to our support team.
After receiving your information, we will immediately proceed with cross-checking your details against the OFAC Sanctions List. Once the review is complete, you will be notified of your account creation status and whether the block has been lifted.
