Inviting Users and Assigning Seats

Inviting Users to Professional and Cloud Labs

You can invite users directly to the Professional or Cloud Labs by using the Invite Users tab. Simply add the user's email, assign a role, set an expiration date, and click Invite Users. You can view pending invitations in the Invitations tab.

Use the right side button to duplicate the Role and Expiration settings for the next invitation and the Add New Invitation to create an extra empty line for another invitation.

When a new invitation is sent from the Professional or Cloud Labs, a seat is covered. The seat can be released if the invitation expires (the invited doesn't join).

You also can invite users using the User Management panel and then assign seats separately for every user.

Assigning Seats

Seat assignment in Professional and Cloud Labs works much the same way it does in our other types of labs. From the Manage Users page under the Management panel, you can assign users a license for the lab.

You can also assign users to the Lab directly from the Lab page itself by clicking on the Seats option in the upper-right corner.

Professional and Cloud Labs Settings

Both Professional and Cloud Labs have four settings that you can access and modify on the Settings tab of every Lab:

  • Leaderboard Visibility

    • Set whether the Leaderboard is visible to everyone.

  • Lab Visibility

    • Set whether only users assigned to a lab can view it.

  • Writeup Visibility

    • Set whether users can view writeups for lab content.

  • Hints

    • Display the relevant machine for each flag.

Resetting Professional and Cloud Labs

We do our best to make our labs as resilient as possible, but when you have a bunch of hackers throwing exploits at machines, eventually, something is bound to break.

While you are always free to reach out to Customer Support via the Support Chat if you need a reset, Lab Admins can reset labs at their own discretion without needing to wait for us to get involved.

To do so, enter the lab you'd like to reset and navigate to the Lab tab, Then, press the View Details button in the upper-right corner. This will reveal a Reset Lab button. After confirming the request, the lab will begin to reset, and you will be given an estimated time for completion.

Resetting the lab will not remove anyone's progress or flag submissions, but it will revert any changes made to the lab itself.

The same process is for resetting Cloud Labs.

Switching Professional Lab Scenarios

Access your current Professional Lab, then go to the "Settings" section. Click on the "Switch" button, choose your desired scenario from the list, write a brief description, and click "Submit." Our team will handle the switch based on your request.

Switching Cloud Lab Scenarios

Switching to a Cloud Lab is similar to the process of switching to a Professional Lab. First, access the current Cloud Lab, then navigate to the "Settings" section, and finally, click on the "Deploy" option for the new scenario. Please note that it takes up to 10 minutes for the new lab to be fully deployed.
