👨‍🏫 Teacher Workflow

Course Creation

A user with the Course Creator permissions at minimum must enable the selection of the LTi tool before being able to assign HTB content to a course. This must be done by clicking into the course after its creation, then selecting More > LTi External Tools. Then click the button to “Show in Activity Chooser”.

Enabling the HTB LTi in the Activity chooser must occur for each new course created.

Once the LTi app has been enabled for the course, you can then Add HTB content. Ensure Edit Mode is enabled in the top right.

Select “Activity Chooser” from the Pop-up menu that appears from the plus-sign. Then select the Hack The Box LTi App.

Click “Select Content”.

Click “Add” for each piece of content then “Save” when done selecting some content.

Teachers have moderator permissions within the HTB Enterprise Platform and are not automatically assigned a license to engage with content.

👩‍🎓 Student Experience

As a student, login to your account and navigate to your course with the HTB content. Within your course, you’ll have access to any assigned HTB content as designated by the teacher.

Clicking a content link will open a new window and take students to the HTB page.
