I have lost access to my 2 Factor Authentication method

Resetting your 2FA is a very sensitive process; therefore, it can’t be done manually and needs to go through our support team.

We would kindly request you to open a support ticket, providing adequate information proving that the account belongs to you (e.g., email from Hack The Box confirming the purchase of a service or the email first registered on the account, making sure that your email address is clearly visible in the screenshot of the email).

You can contact our support team by clicking the Chat Bubble in the bottom-right of this page.

I don't remember my Vault password

Given that the Vault is a means of safeguarding sensitive account details, resetting the vault password implies that all your associated data (name, (ISC)² ID) will get permanently deleted from the database. Please take note that following a vault reset, you will need to fill in this information again.

To reset the Vault password, you can navigate to your personal user profile settings by clicking on your avatar at the top right of the platform, followed by the Profile Settings option. Alternatively, you can select the My Profile option from the menu on the left and then click on the Profile Settings tab right under your bio.

After that, you can navigate to the Private Information tab, right underneath, and click on the Recover my Secret option under the Vault settings. This will prompt you will a clear message about what is involved with this action, from where you can proceed further with the complete deletion of your private information and the reinitialization of your Vault to its original empty state.

Your Vault can now have its new password set.
