The Rewards
The Hack The Box (HTB) Academy referral program offers multiple rewards. You may be awarded cubes when the following conditions are met:
After Registration By the Referee 👨💻
Refer 2 Friends → 5 Cubes
Refer 5 Friends → 10 Cubes
Refer 15 Friends → 20 Cubes
Note: in order to count as a successful registration, the referee must complete the HTB Academy onboarding questionnaire and any HTB Academy module (including free Tier 0 modules).
After Module Completion by the Referee ✅
Every time a user you invite completes HTB Academy modules, you will be able to unlock rewards. The amount of cubes is based on the modules’ Tiers, as follows:
Tier II module completed* → 5 Cubes
Tier III module completed → 10 Cubes
Tier IV module completed → 20 Cubes
*This reward won't apply if the referred user has an active HTB Academy Student subscription.
After Subscription Purchase by the Referee 💰
Every time a user you invite purchases an HTB Academy subscription, you will be able to unlock rewards. The number of cubes is based on the subscription plan, as follows:
Silver Monthly → 35 Cubes
Gold Monthly → 65 Cubes
Platinum Monthly → 120 Cubes
Silver Annual → 300 Cubes
Gold Annual → 300 Cubes
The HTB Academy team retains the right to alter the rewards in case of fraudulent activities or cases that enable abuse.

Referred users also receive 20 Cubes after completing their first module.
When to Expect The Rewards
When you participate in the referral program, the timing of your reward delivery depends entirely on the type of activity your referred friend completes.
Rewards for Registration and Module Completion
Rewards that are earned through user Registrations or individual Module Completion are automatically credited directly to your Academy platform profile. As soon as your referred friend signs up and successfully completes their first qualifying module, the associated referral rewards will populate in your account cube balance without any delays.
Rewards for Monthly Subscriptions
Rewards that are tied to a referred friend's monthly platform plan follow a strict verification window to ensure transaction stability and program integrity. These rewards are systematically added to your profile exactly one month and two days after the subscription's start date.
Rewards for Annual Subscriptions
Rewards that are tied to a referred friend's annual platform plan are distributed incrementally in structured batches over an extended verification period. These batches are issued over a timeframe of four months and two days from the initial subscription start date. You will receive incremental batches of rewards. These batches will be distributed as follows: 20, 50, 90, and finally, 140 cubes.
This approach is implemented to maintain the integrity of our program and safeguard against any fraudulent or abusive cases related to payments and refunds.

Your unique platform referral link is hosted directly within your Academy account profile settings.
To locate and copy your link, follow these step-by-step instructions:
Look at the top right corner of the website window and click on your profile avatar image.
Select the menu option labeled

This will provide information on the number of referrals you've made, how many have converted, and the rewards you've earned.
Prohibited Actions for the Referral Program:
No duplicate account invites
No self-referrals or use of alternative contact information
No creating multiple accounts for self-invitations
No inviting existing HTB Academy users
No inviting fictitious individuals
No actions that damage Hack The Box's brand, goodwill, or reputation
No misleading referrals or promotions unrelated to Hack The Box's main purpose
No violation of applicable laws or regulations or breach of our User Agreement, Privacy Notice, and Acceptable Use Policy
No transmission of unsolicited advertising or spam
No unauthorized advertising via paid search or activities harmful to Hack The Box's brand, goodwill, or reputation.
What other legal information should I know?
Hack The Box retains the right to alter or revoke the rewards upon suspicious activity, not using the program in goodwill, or having breached any of the above terms.
In cases of suspected fraud, further action may result in the suspension of your Hack The Box account and your referral reward being withheld from you.

In most cases, these issues can be quickly investigated and resolved.
We may, at our sole discretion, suspend, terminate or change the terms and requirements of the referral program at any time. These terms are published in English, and any translation is provided as a courtesy only. Participants in the referral program cannot derive any rights from the translated version.
The English language version of these terms shall apply and prevail, and be conclusive and binding. The English version shall be used in all legal proceedings to the extent permitted by law.
These Referral Program Terms shall be exclusively governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes arising out of or in connection with these terms shall exclusively be submitted to and dealt with by the competent court in England.
To benefit from this referral program, you must be an existing customer of Hack The Box Academy and have agreed to our User Agreement, Privacy Notice, and Acceptable Use Policy. Any additional information provided by you in the course of a referral will be treated in line with the above terms.
