CPE Allocation - HTB Academy

Written by Diablo

CPEs, or Continuing Professional Education credits, are crucial for information security professionals. For ISC(2) certification holders, these CPE credits are required to keep your certification in good standing.

Earning CPE Credits

On HTB Academy, CPE credit submission is available to members with an active subscription. You can obtain credits by completing Modules ranked Tier I (Fundamental) and above.

Enabling Automatic CPE Credit Submission

To track your activity and automatically get your credits, you must enable the tracking option in your account.

Timeline and Retroactive Credit Rules

CPEs are only awarded after you add your ISC(2) ID to your account and have an active subscription. We do not submit credits for any module or exam completions that took place before your ID was added. You will not be awarded any missing credits retroactively.

Example Scenario: If you complete an HTB Academy module on June 10, 2026, but you do not add your ISC(2) ID to your account until June 23, 2026, you will not receive CPE credits for the module completed on June 10. You will only earn credits for modules completed on or after June 23, 2026.

Rubric for Awarded CPEs

On the Academy platform, CPE credits are strictly awarded for Modules that are classified as Tier 1 and above. Modules classified as Tier 0 do not award credits.

The CPE credits awarded for completing Academy content are structured as follows:

  • Fundamental Modules (Tier 1+): Awards 2 CPE credits upon completion.

  • Easy Modules: Awards 4 CPE credits upon completion.

  • Medium Modules: Awards 6 CPE credits upon completion.

  • Hard Modules: Awards 8 CPE credits upon completion.

  • Insane Modules: Awards 10 CPE credits upon completion.

  • Certification Exams: Awards 40 CPE credits upon passing the exam.
